TG Budget 2025: 2 sarees annually for 64.7 lakh SHG Members

TG Budget 2025: Telangana Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, who is also the Deputy Chief Minister, has proposed a budget of ₹3,04,965 crore, which is almost 5% more than the previous year’s. With revenue expenditures of ₹2,26,982 crore and capital expenditures of ₹36,504 crore.


He estimated Telangana’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) for 2024–2025 at current prices to be ₹16,12,579 crore, representing a growth rate of 10.1% over the previous year, while presenting the budget to the State Assembly on Thursday. He compared that to the current national GDP of ₹3,31,03,215 crore, which increased at a rate of 9.9%.

Budget for Handloom Sector:

“We are proposing an allocation of Rs 371 crore for the Handlooms sector in this budget,” said the Deputy Chief Minister. Apart from this, the government has taken the initiative to focus on local weavers and boost their economy.


In this initiative, the government has taken an initiative to support Self-Help Groups(SHGs) and local weavers. The government has announced the distribution of two high-quality sarees every year to 64.7 lakh SHG members all over the state. This will mainly help the handloom weavers and local weavers to boost their economy. With this program, Telangana weaving community sales will also increase.

Apart from this government has focused on developing most of the sectors with futuristic and advanced development models. Deputy CM Batti Vikramarka has announced about making Warangal as IT Hub. The government is focusing on developing education, medical facilities, and the IT sector. Following this government is focusing on developing Nizamabad, and Khammam as agro-based industries. Following this Deputy CM said, He stated, the state administration has focused on “Telangana Rising 2050” Vision, which intends to transform the state’s economy from its present $200 billion to $1 trillion over the next ten years. He went on to say that the State was creating Master Plan to make Hyderabad global city, with an emphasis on environmental preservation, infrastructure development, transit expansion, and technology advancement.
