Telangana Government Officer Transfers Post-Budget Changes in April 2025

 


The Telangana Government has released the budget for the upcoming financial year, 2025-2026. Post this decision, the government of Telangana has also initiated a reshuffle of the officers and ministers following the implementation of the financial year’s state budget in the first week of April. The main motto behind the transfers of the officers is to increase the efficiency of the administration and effective implementations of schemes across the state. Let’s look at the Telangana Government Officer transfers post-budget changes in April 2025.

Government Officer Transfers Announced:

The arrangements and decisions about the transfers of several IAS, IPS, and ministers across the state are done. The notices are yet to be sent to respective ministers and IPS and IAS officers.


K. Surendra Mohan is previously the Commissioner of Transport; he has been assigned additional responsibilities as the Commissioner and Registrar of Cooperative Societies and Director of Marketing.

K. Haritha was a former joint secretary in the Finance Department; she has been appointed as the director of commercial taxes, filling a long-vacant position.

Sanchit Gangwar was transferred from Wanaparthy to Narayanpet as additional collector.

Many young officers in various departments and areas are said to be involving in illegal and unauthorised practices. These practices include bribing and ignoring responsibilities. A close source revealed that many complaints are being filed on these young officers. They might be dismissed or suspended if this behaviour continues.

Objectives of the Reshuffle:

Chief Minister of Telangana Revanth Reddy has many times mentioned his frustration regarding the irresponsible behaviors of the ministers and IAS officers. Despite many attempts and chances to correct themselves, the officers remained the same. A close source revealed that this is the main reason to initiate bulk transfers. Especially in the initial stage of implementation of the state financial budget.

The chief secretary, Shanti Kumari IAS, is retiring in a few months, and even she is also being transferred to a different location. Officers and ministers of all the stages and cadders are to take transfer for sure.
