PM Modi Thailand Visit: On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his sorrow over the recent Thai earthquake’s fatalities. While in Thailand, the prime minister shared his opinions.
During a joint news briefing with Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra of Thailand, Prime Minister Modi expressed his heartfelt sorrow for the deaths. He remembered the March 28 earthquake and wished for the speedy recovery of those injured. “Our cultural and spiritual ties are at the heart of India and Thailand’s centuries-old relationship,” he remarked.

When he arrived in Bangkpok for a two-day visit to attend the 6th BIMSTEC conference. He was greeted by a Guard of Honor and saw a captivating presentation of the Ramakien-Thai Ramayana.

“The two leaders will have wide-ranging discussions for charting the way for future India-Thailand partnership,” he stated. The Prime Minister’s Office wrote on X that after arriving in Bangkok, he saw a captivating Ramakien, Thai Ramayana performance. According to the PMO, it demonstrated the deep cultural ties between Thailand and India. “A unique cultural link! Saw a riveting presentation of Ramakien, the Thai version of the Ramayana. He also said, “It was a genuinely enriching experience that beautifully showcased the shared cultural and civilizational ties between India and Thailand.”
After the Thailand visit, he is going to travel to Sri Lanka for the first time to the island country after the election of the new President.
