MLC Nagababu visited Pithapuram on Friday and Saturday. He participated in several development programs.But TDP leader Varma did not attend these events. Meanwhile, TDP supporters raised slogans in favor of Varma in the areas where Nagababu visited. Janasena supporters responded with their slogans, leading to a minor confrontation.
For a long time, TDP and Janasena have been competing for dominance in Pithapuram. TDP workers believe that Varma is being sidelined while Janasena is gaining more influence. They claim that Janasena leaders are being given more importance in nominated posts. The recent Janasena meeting further added to the tensions. During the event, Nagababu made strong remarks about Pawan Kalyan’s victory.
Pawan Kalyan won from the Pithapuram Assembly constituency in the last elections. Many believe that former MLA Varma played a key role in his victory.But Nagababu’s latest comments have created controversy.
Nagababu stated that Pawan Kalyan’s victory was due to the hard work of Pithapuram people and Janasena supporters. He also said that if anyone thinks they alone were responsible for the win, it is their fate. Many believe these remarks were directed at Varma, suggesting that Nagababu downplayed his contribution.
