True Inspiration for IAS Officers: The district collector is the head of administration in a district. Many officers stay away from the ground level. They show authority and do not often interact with people. But the Medak Collector Rahul Raj is different. He stays among the people every day. He starts new programs that help the public.
Recently Rahul Raj visited a paddy procurement center. He helped to clean the grain like a farmer. He told farmers to avoid middlemen. He asked them to sell directly at the centers. He explained that moisture in the paddy must be around 17 percent. Earlier, he planted saplings in a field with his wife. Every Sunday, he spends time with the public in a different way.
Connecting with Every Section of Society
Rahul Raj visited the home of a sanitation worker. He sat and ate with the family. He wanted to understand their life and problems. He also teaches students directly. He explains topics and brings awareness. He regularly visits villages. He listens to problems and works to solve them.
Understanding Public Needs Through Travel
He once rode a cycle for 20 kilometers. Later, he travelled on an RTC bus. He spoke to passengers. He asked about their experiences. He observed the government transport system.
Empowering Women Through Skill Training
He started a special training program for women in Medak. This program teaches accounting, finance and management skills. It helps women become more confident and independent.
Journey from Software Engineer to Civil Servant
Rahul Raj was born and raised in Hyderabad. He worked in a software job for three years. His father wanted him to try civil services. He quit his job and prepared for exams. He cleared civil services in his second attempt. He first served as collector in Asifabad and later in Adilabad. He now works in Medak. He aims to give good governance to the people.
