Ration Card eKYC Status
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has made eKYC compulsory for all ration card holders. Aadhaar and ration card details must match to continue receiving benefits. The deadline for completing eKYC is April 30. The Civil Supplies Department has requested citizens to complete this process before the last date.
Why eKYC is Important
The government is linking welfare schemes with Aadhaar and ration card data. Without eKYC, beneficiaries may lose access to rice, sugar and other ration items. This step is to ensure transparency and prevent fraud. Only verified users will be able to receive subsidies and services.
Ration Card eKYC Status
Andhra Pradesh has around 1.48 crore white ration cards. Out of these, about 7.55 lakh cards are still not updated with eKYC. This has created confusion among people. Many are not sure whether their eKYC is complete. They are visiting ration shops and village secretariats to find out their status. Some people wait for hours only to learn that their eKYC was already done.
