Amaravati to Host India’s First Transmedia City: Andhra Pradesh is going to transform the entertainment sector by welcoming India’s first Transmedia Entertainment City in Amaravati. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is spearheading this megaproject, which is going to provide 25,000 direct jobs and attract massive Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), catapulting the state to a world hub for the digital and creative economy.
The government of Andhra Pradesh recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CreativeLand Asia (CLA) to develop and implement Creatorland. The announcement was made at the WAVES summit, which was held in Mumbai from May 1 to 4, 2025. And is a milestone for India’s entertainment and digital innovation sector.
Creatorland as a futuristic creative town with legacy entertainment along with edge frontier digital technology. It will be a hub for:
Film Production – Virtual studios aided by rendering tech with Artificial Intelligence at the core.
Gaming & E-Sports – Third-generation gaming halls to facilitate innovation.
Music & Sound Production – Separate spaces for recording sound.
Virtual Reality & AI-based Storytelling – Make use of the new-age technology to create immersive content.
Provide more career opportunities for VFX, gaming, virtual production, and digital arts.
Create the Creatorland Academy, where filmmaking, AI, and virtual world storytelling educate children.
Embed global collaborations, Amaravati becomes the hub of co-productions.
Creatorland will have experiential theme parks, gaming and AI-studio virtual studios, and entertainment centers to showcase Andhra Pradesh’s tourism, tech, and creative sectors. The project fits into India’s vision for digital growth and will be strategically located to host international media and entertainment partnerships.
