Chandrababu Naidu’s Security: With the backdrop of Operation Sindhoor, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s security came under review. DGP Harish Kumar Gupta conducted a high-level meeting with senior intelligence and security officials. He instructed them to ensure full implementation of all security protocols without compromise.
DGP Harish Kumar asked police officials to strictly follow safety measures, especially when the Chief Minister is moving through public gatherings. District SPs were directed to focus on special arrangements during public interactions. He also stressed the need to stay alert and make necessary preparations in line with the current national security atmosphere.
Later, DGP Harish Kumar Gupta informed CM Chandrababu Naidu about the security discussions. The Chief Minister responded in his usual calm manner. He directed police officials to implement all necessary security steps while ensuring that common people and party workers do not face inconvenience. His message was clear,security must be tight but not obstructive to public life.
These developments came after a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which prompted India to launch retaliatory strikes under Operation Sindhoor. India carried out air strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir. The central government stated that around 100 terrorists were killed during these operations.
Following the strikes, Union Home Minister Amit Shah held talks with Chief Ministers and Governors across the country. He issued important security related instructions to the states.This led to a high level security review meeting in Amaravati in AP. DGP Harish Kumar Gupta led the session.It was attended by Intelligence Chief Mahesh Chandra Laddha and other top officials.
The review focused on current threats, future safety steps and protecting VIPs. Officials discussed how to coordinate state level responses with central guidelines. The government is on high alert and ready to act swiftly if required.
Andhra Pradesh is aligning closely with national efforts to ensure public and VIP safety in the wake of rising external threats.
