Special Trains for Telugu Students:
In the wake of rising tensions between India and Pakistan, TDP MP Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu has written a letter to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. He requested that special trains be arranged for Telugu students who are studying in North Indian states like Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.
The MP highlighted that a large number of students from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are studying in universities such as NITs in Jalandhar, Jammu and Kurukshetra and also in Lovely Professional University. With the current situation causing concern among families, he urged the Railway Minister to arrange special trains from Delhi and Chandigarh to the Telugu-speaking states. This would help the students return home safely and avoid any risks due to the border tensions.
Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu emphasized the urgency of the situation. He explained that parents of these students are worried about their children’s safety. He mentioned that these students are far from home and also may find it difficult to travel during times of national tension. So,he believes special trains are needed immediately.
He also pointed out that the government should be proactive in such situations to support students and their families. The MP’s letter has welcomed by many parents and student groups. They hope the Railway Ministry will respond quickly.
This appeal shows the concern for the well-being of students during a difficult time. It also highlights the need for better support systems for students studying far from their home states. If the government acts on this request, it will bring relief to hundreds of Telugu students and their families
