Indo-Pak border: Following India’s attack on terror launch pads in Pakistan and POK on May 7, PM Narendra Modi will make his first trip to the Indo-Pak border in Rajasthan and his second landing at an IAF base after Adampur in Punjab. On May 22, he will attend a rally in Deshnok town in Bikaner district, where he will pray at the Karni Mata temple.
The PM will land at Bikaner’s Nal airfield, which doubles as an IAF base and was targeted during the most recent battle. The distance between Bikaner and Pakistan is 168 kilometers, however, Deshnok is about 200 miles away from the international border. According to sources, as a show of solidarity after Operation Sindoor, Modi may meet with soldiers stationed along the international border.
According to the internal sources, to supervise preparations, Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, BJP Rajasthan state president Madan Rathore, and a few state ministers would travel to Bikaner on Saturday. Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Meghwal, and Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw would accompany Modi.
Preparations for the Visit:
Following notification of PM Modi’s visit from the Prime Minister’s Office, the district administration began preparations on Thursday. The Bikaner division has seen the development of two high-tech railway stations, Dabwali and Gogamedi, under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
Additionally, Bikaner’s Lalgarh station is nearly finished. In the Jodhpur division, the Deshnok railway station’s construction is finished. According to officials, 22 Bikaner division stations are being rebuilt as part of the program.
Interestingly, a drone was seen Thursday morning in Anupgarh village 12A, which is near the border in Sri Ganganagar district, notwithstanding the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan. The temporary security post was taken down after the ceasefire was understood and peace was restored. The BSF held a special puja and aarti at the Tanot Mata Temple as part of the reopening, and tourist traffic has resumed.
