YSRCP MP YV Subbareddy’s wife YV Swarnalatha Reddy has filed a petition in the Telangana High Court. She alleged that some private individuals are trying to encroach on her land in Kondapur. She told the court that even after complaining to the Gachibowli police, they are not paying attention. Swarnalatha asked the police to provide protection. The court has issued appropriate orders to the Cyberabad CP on this. The court has ordered a decision to be taken within two weeks.
The details are that YV Swarnalathareddy has 2.08 acres of land in survey number 87/2 in Kondapur village of Serilingampalli mandal of Rangareddy district.
However, Swarnalathareddy alleged that some private individuals are trying to encroach on that land. G. Narasimha Reddy, Sheikh Islamuddin and Koppula Mallareddy from Mahabubnagar district are said to be trying to encroach on their land. She revealed in her petition that she had previously complained to the Gachibowli police about this, but they were not paying attention. In this context, she requested the court to order the police to provide protection from private individuals entering her land.
The bench of Justice J. Srinivasa Rao, which examined the petition on Wednesday, made key observations. It ordered the Cyberabad Police Commissioner to take an appropriate decision within two weeks after hearing the arguments of the petitioner and the private respondents in this matter. It also said that Swarnalatha Reddy should be informed about this. The next hearing was adjourned to June 23.
Senior Counsel Vinod Kumar Deshpande argued on behalf of Sarvalatha Reddy in this dispute. He said that there is a total of 8 acres of land in Survey No. 87. Also said that his client had purchased 2.08 acres of land there from the original owner. Vinod also said that there are entries in the revenue records that the land was registered in the name of his client. He told the court that despite several complaints to the police regarding the illegal occupation of this land, they did not take proper action.
The value of this land is said to be Rs. 200 crores. YV Swarnalathareddy had earlier complained to the Gachibowli police that the land in their name was occupied by A. Anil Reddy, who has political influence. However, when his watchman complained on behalf of a person named Narasimha Reddy that the land belonged to them, the police registered cases against both parties. Recently, Swarnalathareddy approached the High Court over the same dispute.
