NDA Meet: The Indian Army, which launched Operation Sindoor in retaliation for the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22 , carried out lightning strikes on terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. However, it is reported that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a strong class and warning to his party leaders who made inappropriate comments regarding ‘Operation Sindoor’. Prime Minister Modi held a meeting with the Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of NDA-ruled states in Delhi on Sunday. On this occasion, sources revealed that the party leaders were advised not to talk about every issue and not to make controversial comments.
The comments made by some BJP leaders on the Pahalgam terror attack and the subsequent Operation Sindoor have recently created a huge stir. Analysts believe that these comments have left the party feeling confused. Madhya Pradesh Minister Vijay Shah has created a huge stir with his inappropriate and religious comments on Colonel Sophia Qureshi, who was participating in a media conference during Operation Sindoor. When the matter reached the Supreme Court, the judges expressed their deep dissatisfaction.
BJP leader and minister Vijay Shah, in a public meeting, not only described Colonel Qureshi as the ‘sister of terrorists’, but also said, ‘We have sent a woman from a community living in Pakistan against that country.’ Shah commented, ‘You who wiped the vermilion from the foreheads of our sisters, your own religious brother will humiliate you. Modi ji has proven that you can take revenge by sending the daughters of your community against Pakistan.’
Similarly, BJP Rajya Sabha member Ram Chandra Jangra’s sarcastic remarks about women who lost their husbands in the Pahalgam terror attack have become another controversy. He made inappropriate comments saying, ‘They were victims of terrorists because they lacked heroism and courage.’
Speaking at the 300th birth anniversary celebrations of Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar in Bhiwani, Haryana, he said, ‘Those women who lost their husbands lacked heroism and warrior spirit. Instead of begging, they should have fought against the terrorists. That is why they had to lose their husbands.’ Jangra’s comments left the people there stunned.
Later, responding to the media’s question, ‘How can a woman fight terrorists?’, he said, ‘Ahilyabai Holkar is a woman, so is Rani Lakshmibai. Didn’t they fight? We want our sisters and brothers to live bravely.’ The BJP has become embarrassed by the controversial comments of the leaders. In this context, it seems that Prime Minister Modi has taken a class. It is reported that no one has been advised not to speak beyond the limits.
