President Murmu: On the occasion of Telangana’s statehood, President Droupadi Murmu wished the people of Telangana to march ahead on the path of progress and prosperity on Monday.
“Happy Statehood Day to all of Telangana’s citizens! This young state boasts a thriving modern ecosystem of technical and economic development, as well as a rich cultural legacy. In a post on X, the president expressed his hope that Telangana’s citizens would continue on their journey toward development and prosperity.

On this day in 2014, Telangana was granted statehood after being split off from Andhra Pradesh. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy attended the Telangana Statehood Day celebration and presented flowers to the martyrs at the Martyr Memorial at Hyderabad’s Gun Park.
Police Service medals announced
According to media reports, the state administration announced on Sunday that it will award Police Seva Medals to 486 police officers and other uniformed service members for their outstanding service. Special Chief Secretary Ravi Gupta announced in an order that the government awarded the Shourya Pathakamu to nine police officers from the anti-Naxal commando force Greyhounds.

Celebrations at the Legislative Assembly
The Telangana Legislative Assembly in Hyderabad celebrated Telangana Formation Day on Monday. Telangana Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar raised the national flag at the Assembly, according to media sources. MLC Vijay Shanti, Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy, Congress MLA G. Vivek Venkatswamy, BJP MLA Paidi Rakesh Reddy, and others attended the event.
Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar and Chairman Gutha Sukender presented flowers and paid homage at the sculptures of Dr. BR Ambedkar and Mahatma Gandhi, as shown in the images.
