TMC MP Mahua Moitra: Mahua Moitra, a member of the Trinamool Congress, married Pinaki Misra, a senior member of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), in a private wedding in Germany. Misra, the seasoned lawmaker from Puri, Odisha, and Moitra, the two-time Lok Sabha member from Krishnanagar, West Bengal, have not spoken publicly on the wedding.
Moitra did not answer the phone when the media called her. Additionally, the Trinamool Congress chose not to comment. Born in Assam in 1974, Moitra started her career as an investment banker before joining Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress in 2010 to pursue a career in politics.

Former BJD MP Pinaki Misra:
Representing the Krishnanagar constituency, she was elected to the Lok Sabha in 2019 and again in 2024. Born in 1959, Pinaki Misra is a seasoned politician and a prominent Supreme Court attorney.
He graduated with degrees in law from Delhi University and history from St. Stephen’s College in Delhi. In 1996, Misra won the Puri seat after starting his political career with the Congress Party. He subsequently joined the BJD and has since won several parliamentary elections.
