PM Modi Wishes President Murmu: Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted President Droupadi Murmu on her 67th birthday on the day, hailing her as a role model due to her unstinted devotion towards people service and empowering marginalized communities. The Prime Minister went to micro-blogging site X (previously Twitter) on Friday, June 20, to appreciate the President’s inspirational life and vision.

Once again recognizing her work, the Prime Minister said, “She has always been devoted to serving the poorest of the poor and downtrodden. May she live for and in good health while serving the common people.”
President Droupadi Murmu is a symbol of resistance and empowerment as the 15th and first tribal woman president of India. Her rise from the depths of tribal Odisha to the heights of Rashtrapati Bhavan and the presidency, she has been an inspiration to millions of Indians, particularly women and marginalised communities.
As President since July 2022, President Murmu has places priority on issues that impact tribal people’s education, women’s empowerment, and grassroot development. Furthermore, her presidency is a landmark movement in the direction of greater inclusiveness in the leadership of the country.
