Assembly Bypoll Results: On Monday, the Indian Election Commission started tallying the Assembly’s votes based on poll results. Five constituencies in Gujarat, West Bengal, Punjab, and Kerala are having their ballots counted by the ECI. On June 19, elections were place in Ludhiana, Kaliganj, Visavadar, Kadi, and Nilambur.
Bypoll Result 2025 today: Lead Results
According to the Election Commission of India’s most recent figures, the Aam Aadmi Party has taken the lead in Gujarat and Punjab. In Gujarat, Kerala, and
- West Bengal, the BJP, Congress, and Trinamool Congress are in the lead.
- Visavadar, Gujarat – Italia Gopal from the Aam Aadmi party is in the lead
- Kadi, Gujarat – Rajendrakumar Daneshwar Chavda from the BJP is in the lead
- Ludhiana West, Punjab – Sanjeev Arora from the Aam Aadmi Party is in the lead.
- Nilambur, Kerala – Aryadan Shoukath from the Indian National Congress is in the lead.
- Kaliganj, West Bengal – Alifa Ahmed from Trinamool Congress is in the lead.

Why were bypolls held?
Visavadar and Kadi, two constituencies in Gujarat, held by-elections. In Visavadar, the by-election took place after AAP MLA Bhupendra Bhayani defected to the BJP, leaving the seat vacant. In Kadi, the seat became vacant following the death of BJP MLA Karshan Solanki, prompting a by-election. In Kerala’s Nilambur, independent lawmaker P. V. Anvar, backed by the CPI(M), resigned, triggering the by-election. In West Bengal, the death of TMC leader Nasiruddin Ahmed led Kaliganj to vote again. Meanwhile, Punjab’s Ludhiana West constituency held a by-election after AAP MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi passed away.
