BC Reservation Protest: Autos and Cabs Charge Higher Fares


BC Reservation Protest: The BC reservation Bandh continues across Telangana from morning onwards. BC leaders across the state are now demanding 42% reservation for BCs. During this protest, almost all the parties have started the protest in most of the districts.

It is said that people who are planning to go to Warangal, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Vijayawada, Suryapet, Siddipet, Nalgonda, and many other parts of the state are facing problems traveling. All over the state, the bus depots, cabs, and auto services are halted. Because of this, people are facing severe difficulties with their travel. On the other hand, auto and cab drivers are charging exorbitant fares. On normal days, they are demanding Rs. 200 from LB Nagar to Suryapet, but now they are demanding Rs. 800. To go to Vijayawada, they are charging Rs. 2,000 per person.

High-Tension in Hyderabad:

The BC bandh continues amidst high tensions in Hyderabad. BC union leaders attacked a petrol pump near Nallakunta Fever Hospital. They destroyed the supplies at the petrol pump. The staff pelted stones and closed the pump, unable to do anything. Many are angry at those who attacked. BC leaders are angry about why the petrol pump was opened after the BC bandh was called.

BC Reservation Protest: RTC Buses Halted

The bandh in Hyderabad continues amidst some tension. RTC buses are limited to depots. BC union leaders have staged a sit-in in front of MGBS and Jubilee Bus Station. MP Etala Rajender participated in the BC bandh near JBS. Buses have been stopped at various RTC depots, including Rajendranagar, Dilsukhnagar, Bandlaguda, Hayatnagar, Barkatpura, and Ibrahimpatnam.

In the wake of the BC bandh, buses from Hyderabad’s Jubilee Bus Stand to various places have been stopped. BJP MP Etala Rajender is protesting by sitting on the road. Due to this, buses are limited to the depot at the Jubilee Bus Station. On the other hand, those going to their hometowns for the Diwali festival are facing difficulties. Due to the stoppage of buses, the congestion at JBS has increased, with passengers going to various districts.
