Jubilee Hills Constituency Shut Tomorrow: What is Open & Closed?

Jubilee Hills By Elections: The electoral commission said that voting will take place on November 11 and the results will be declared on November 14. The intense campaign for the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency bypoll concluded on Sunday. Maganti Gopinath, a BRS MLA, passed away in June of this year, necessitating the bypoll.

Sunita, Gopinath’s widow, is the BRS candidate, whereas Deepak Reddy was selected by the BJP. Naveen Yadav, the candidate of the ruling Congress, has the backing of the AIMIM led by Asaduddin Owaisi.


Out of the 407 voting places, 226 have been designated as “critical,” according to Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner RV Karnan, the Hyderabad District Election Officer.

Paramilitary Forces Deployed in Jubilee Hills:
According to Joint Commissioner of Police (Law & Order, Co-ordination) Tafseer Iqubal, up to 1,761 police officers have been deployed as part of the electoral bandobust, in addition to eight companies of central paramilitary forces (CISF).

“There will be about 3000 participants from ECI and 1800 police officials,” says Tafseer Iqbal, Joint Commissioner of Police. In the morning, polling places will be assigned to each of them. The voting places are equipped with CCTV both inside and outside. We have seized around Rs 3.61 crores from 27 MCC cases that have been registered.

Regarding the plans for the Jubilee Hills assembly constituency by-elections, GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan states, “We have deployed 1761 officials of all ranks… In accordance with the Election Commission’s directives, eight companies of paramilitary personnel have also been stationed in key locations. I urge voters to cast their ballots because we guarantee a tranquil atmosphere. There will be 139 drones deployed. We will continue to monitor the whole area. There have been 27 MCC violation complaints filed against different individuals and groups.

What’s Open & Closed in Jubilee Hills Constituency Tomorrow:
In preparation for the byelection to the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency, Hyderabad District Collector Harichandana Dasari issued an order announcing paid holidays for government agencies and educational institutions. In accordance with the November 7 order, paid holidays have been declared for all offices and educational institutions where polling places and the counting center are set up for the byelection on November 10, November 11, and November 14.

According to the Collector, government offices and schools that will be utilized as polling places or counting centers in the Jubilee Hills constituency are covered by the paid holiday. The Collector also stated that bars will stay closed and that it will not be permitted to distribute food or engage in other similar activities close to polling places.
