BRS Lost in Jubilee Hills Bypoll: The Jubilee Hills by-poll elections turned out to be a major setback for the BRS leaders now. The BRS party has expected a winning percentage in this Bypoll by-elections. But, political experts say, the reasons behind the defeat in these elections are quite visible. Most people understood the winning probability during the campaign and also during the counting process. Let’s now understand the key reasons behind the defeat.
1. KCR Did Not Campaign:
One of the biggest reasons was the absence of KCR. Many BRS workers and local leaders were disappointed because he did not come to campaign. His presence usually boosts confidence among party members, and without him, the campaign lacked energy.
2. Weak Social Media Reach:
BRS’s social media campaign did not reach the general public. While Congress used social media actively to connect with voters, BRS posts stayed limited to smaller groups. This made it harder for the party to influence the mass population.
3. Underestimating Naveen Yadav:
BRS also underestimated Congress candidate Naveen Yadav, who already had a strong local presence and vote bank. His earlier experience as an Independent and AIMIM-backed candidate helped him gain support easily. BRS did not expect him to perform this strongly.

4. Poor Poll Management:
Political analysts say BRS failed to manage the campaign effectively. From booth-level planning to voter outreach, some gaps weakened their overall strategy.
5. No Sympathy Wave:
BRS didn’t get any sympathy votes after the death of former MLA Maganti Gopinath. Even though these elections were conducted after his death, most of the voters did not show any kind of extra support for the party’s candidate.
6. Family Disputes Hurt the Campaign:
Disputes within the Maganti family also created confusion. Statements reportedly made by Gopinath’s mother, first wife, and son added to the internal issues. This affected the unity of the BRS campaign.
