Ahilyabai Holkar’s Legacy: The birth anniversary of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, a Maratha queen from the 18th century who made significant contributions to society and religion, has recently become a crucial day on the Indian political calendar.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi travelled to Bhopal on Saturday to commemorate Ahilyabai’s 300th birthday. At the city’s Jamburi Maidan, he attended the “Mahila Sashaktikaran Maha Sammelan,” a women’s empowerment event. There, he presented the National Devi Ahilyabai Award to an artist who has significantly influenced tribal, folk, and traditional arts, as well as he released a commemorative coin and postage stamp in the queen’s honor.

Ahilyabai Holkar’s Legacy Into Politics:

Now, Modi is also expected to attend an exhibition that highlights Devi Ahilyabai’s cultural achievements, women’s empowerment, and good governance.

In addition to performing a virtual “bhoomi pujan” of ghats to be built on the Kshipra river as part of the preparations for the Simhastha Kumbh Mela in 2028. PM Modi also virtually laid the foundation stone of several projects, inaugurated the Super Priority Corridor of Indore Metro. It is also expected that PM Modi is going to open the airports in Datia and Satna.
